Incident: Attempted Sexual Battery
Date of Incident: Wednesday, November 3, 2004
Location: Roy Wall Boulevard near
Murrell Road, Rockledge, FL

At approximately 6:20PM on November 3,
2004, an unknown male suspect attempted to abduct a female jogger on Roy
Wall Boulevard. The suspect grabbed the victim and ripped her shirt during
the attack. The victim resisted the assault and was able to escape. The
victim received minor injuries, but did not require medical attention.
SUSPECT PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: White
Male; Thick Build; Light Colored Shoulder-Length Dread-Lock Hair; No Facial
Hair or Observed Tattoos; Unusually Strong Body Odor; No Weapons Seen or
Implied
SUSPECT CLOTHING DESCRIPTION: Dark
Blue Shirt; Dark Shorts
The suspect fled from the area on foot.
Additional officers from the Cocoa Police Department Canine Unit, the Brevard
County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit and Aviation Unit immediately responded
to the scene to assist Rockledge Police in the manhunt. After the initial
search fore the suspect was completed, a nearby resident heard a suspicious
noise in their backyard. The homeowner reported that someone might have
been hiding underneath a tarp covering a boat. Unfortunately, a second
search was also to no avail.
Officers patrolled the neighborhood throughout
the night. The suspect is still at large.
All schools in the area are asked to use
extra care and caution. If you have a similar incident or any additional
information regarding this incident, notify the Office of District and
School Security or local law enforcement immediately.
